BSD Local IMAP-POP Sync — getting started

Basic setup and troubleshooting guidance for Thunderbird users.

01

1. Install

Install BSD Local IMAP-POP Sync from the official Thunderbird Add-ons listing.

02

2. Choose accounts

Select a local POP3 destination account and an IMAP source account.

03

3. Verify folders

Check that Sent and Spam/Junk source and destination folders are resolved correctly.

04

4. Choose baseline

The recommended first-run setting skips existing mail before copying new eligible messages.

05

5. Check activity

Confirm Status OK and review the copied counters. Duplicate checks use local records and Message-ID where available.

One-way folder copying; no mirrored deletions. Do not include passwords, customer data or private message contents. Your browser preview cannot send mail; production requires a tested PHP mail handler.
